Fourth and the last of Capacity Building Training in the field of EU Acquis, which carried out by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Directorate for EU Affairs within the scope of Town Twinning between Turkey and EU Project (TWIN) was completed on January 21, 2020.
‘Capacity Building Training in the field EU Acquis,’ which is prepared with the aim to increase administrative capacity during the EU accession period, was held on between the dates of 21th 24th January 2020 in Ankara in the premises of the Union of Municipalities of Turkey. During the training program, overview of the EU and acquis, current framework for localizing the EU acquis chapters in the accession period, harmonization activities by local authorities in selected EU acquis chapters, capacity building for localization EU acquis chapters, raising awareness of citizens on EU accession process, sharing the experiences of former candidate countries and EU financial assistance and funding issues for local authorities were discussed.
