The third ‘Capacity Building Training on EU Acquis’ held within the scope of the Town Twinning between Turkey and the EU (TWIN) Project was held in İzmir between 4-7 November 2019. 52 local authorities’ representatives from 20 provinces participated in the training.
During the four-day training program, participants were informed on the following issues: Prof. Dr. Birgül DEMİRTAŞ on ‘Overview of the EU and the acquis,’ Prof. Dr. Sanem BAYKAL on the ‘Current Framework for Localizing in EU acquis Chapters,’ Volkan TOPÇU on ‘Capacity Building for the Localization of EU acquis Chapters,’ Fikret TOKSÖZ on ‘Raising Awareness of Citizens on EU Accession Process,’ Asst .Prof. Murat ÇELİK on ‘Communication and Awareness in EU-Related Studies,’ Assoc. Prof.Dr. Gamze ÖZ on ‘Harmonization Activities by Local Authorities in Selected EU Acquis Chapters,’ Gerry DAWSON on ‘Sharing the Experiences of Former Candidate Countries’ and İpek KOVANCI on ‘EU Financial Aid and Funding Sources for Local Authorities’.
Capacity Building Training in the Field of EU Acquis was concluded as the participants received their certificates of attendance.
