Objective of the Project  

•To develop the cooperation between two municipalities in framework of Smart City partnership, creation of a Smart City Platform following Tarragona example,
•To create a long-term cooperation for further advancing smart city transformation of both towns by equipping them with necessary skills and networks, 
•To develop joint projects as steps towards transformation into smart cities.

Activities / Outputs 

•An opening event will be organised with participation of project stakeholders from Spain and local stakeholders, and a Joint Strategy Development Meeting will be held in Çanakkale for transformation into smart cities. A Memorandum of Understanding is expected to be signed and a Road Map for Cooperation of two municipalities will be decided.
•A study visit will be made to Brussels with the participation of project partners to enable mutual experience and information exchange. A “joint strategy paper” will be developed by the partners using results of networking meetings. 
•A project development workshop will be organised in Tarragona with participation of 20 experts from Municipality of Çanakkale and Municipality of Tarragona in order to suggest and design smart city projects for further investment by partner municipalities. Reports will be produced detailing projects and workshop results. 
•A project website will be published, and a closing event will be organised to announce and disseminate project results.
