A Roadmap for Smart City Project Reference Number: TTGS/101 Coordinator Beneficiary: Çorum Municipality Co-Beneficiary(ies): Szarvas Municipality-Hungary – Telšiai District Municipality-Lithuania – Hitit University-Turkey – Çorum Chamber of Trade and Industry-Turkey Location(s) of the action: Çorum-Turkey – Szarvas-Hungary – Telšiai-Lithuania Duration: 12 Months Total Budget: 135,398.45 Euro Objective of the Project •To contribute to the better understanding of “Future Smart City” concept •To prepare the Strategic Framework for Smart City Planning Activities / Outputs •Multilateral study and technical visits will be organised among Çorum, Szarvas and Telšiai with participation of Hitit University and Çorum Chamber of Trade and Industry for transfer of knowledge and share of experiences on smart city applications. •A training of smart city applications will be conducted for 25 municipality staffs and project stakeholders on disruptive innovations (smart technologies) in urban infrastructure systems, smart infrastructure solutions in cities, managing the transition from legacy infrastructures to smart systems, management of smart urban transportation systems, smart urban energy systems, etc. •A Smart City Platform with the coordination of Çorum Chamber of Trade and Industry will be established in Çorum with 14 representatives of institutions such as Chamber of Architects, Organized Industrial Zone, CSOs, etc. •A project idea competition called “I have a project for Çorum city” will be organized to come up with at least three Smart City Projects for Çorum. •In addition to the technical meetings and site visits, twinning agreements for a long-term cooperation and opportunities will be signed between the municipalities. A study will be conducted, and a Strategic Framework for Smart City will be decided by the Smart City Platform to be included in Çorum Municipality’s 2020-2024 Strategic Plan. Print
